Summary:
The aithors ded with characteristics of disorders in food intake with early beginning of the disease. They aidyzed 25 patients hospitdized before they reached 15 yea? of age at the Children Psychiatrie Clinic and lst Children Clinic of 2nd Medicd Faculty, Cha-les University aid Teaching Hospitd Pra*ue-Motol in the yea*s 2000-2001. AU the paients were girls tffected by mentd aiorexia The persondity cha*acteristic included, in asignificait extent, introversion, perfectionism, deereased self-evduation (self-esteem) and good intelligence. In reldion to the stage of development the aithors detected prima-y anenorrheain six aid seconda-y anenorrhea in 14 girls, five of them being A the premena-ched stage. The symptoms included deereased body mass in 25, disorder of body scheme in 19, excessive exercise in 14 aid induced vomiting in four of the girls. In 15 paients there wa? co-morbidity of depressive disorder aid in two subjects there were obsessive-compulsive disorder. In the therqjy aid estdjlishment of ataget body mass, developmentd aspects should be taken into account.
