Summary:
Psychosomatical aspects of fitness training
The author of this work came out for its conception from needs of fitness exercise practice. The
current exercise principals of fitness (strength exercise in fitness rooms) use so-called Weider’s
exercise principals. These principals are specified for competitive bodybuilding but they are also used
for people exercising health-related fitness that can be harmful for their bodies. The author of this
has tried to make up a new exercise system on the basis of knowledge of the psychosomatic relation
in the area of muscle apparatus. She has tried to demonstrate that this exercise calls forth-specific
psychical response.
Two tests were used for diagnostics of actual psychical state – the first was a projective test (Luscher
Color Test) and the second was a verbal questionnaire (POMS – „Profile of Mood State“ by McNair).
The new created exercise system has a stronger effect in the size of influence of the D item – more
expressive antidepressive effect, in the size of influence of the F item– in accordance with a decrease
of tiredness feeling after exercise at experimental group, while this effect wasn’t proved at control
group at all, and in the size influence of the V item – in accordance with an increase of vitality feeling
after exercise at experimental group, whereas this impact wasn’t proved at control group at all.
