Summary:
Summary: Authors compared changes in periodont in 609 rhesus monkey skulls with
a group of 610 rhesus monkeys bred in 1982–1996 in the Research Institute for Pharmacy and
Biochemistry Konárovice. In spite of the high occurence of the tartar the periodontopathies
were observed rarely (0,5 %), mostly in indisposed and sick individuals. In the group of 15–22
years old monkeys the atrophy of periodont and physiological teeth loss were found. From the
mucousal diseases only aphts were rarely observed.
