Summary:
This páper describes a change in position of the anterior iliac spines which distorts the triangle formed by these spines and the navel. There is a typical history of trauma and chronic severe low back pain with pain in the lower extremities. As a rule the condition was multifactorial. For treatment a very simple "reposition technique" by postisometric relaxation and reciprocal inhibition is described, producing a marked reflex effect and good therapeutic results. The constant finding has been a restricted intemal hip rotation on the side of inflare, not yet described. This immediately became normál after reposition, which may also explain the importance of this phenomenon.
