Summary: The clinical procedures involved in fixed partial dentures, can produce variety of responses from
the dental pulp, periodontal tissue, and associated anatomic structures. In this article, some of the major problems
that may occur after cemention of fixed partial dentures are outlined as follows: thermal sensitivity, discomfort
during function, gingival inflammation, retention of food, sensitivity to sweet compounds, tooth mobility,
non specific complaints.
