Summary:
Positional vertigo is one of the very frequent causes of vertigo encountered in clinical practice.
Worldwide it is one of the most frequent causes of impaired balance but under our conditions it is not
very often diagnosed. As regards the most frequent type of positional vertigo from the posterior
semicircular canal, its treatment is easy and lack of knowledge leads to unnecessary protraction of the
patients’ complaints. The objective of the presented paper is to draw attention to corr ect procedures
of reposition manoeuvres (Epley’s and Sémont’s) which are effective therapeutic methods.
