Modern digestive endoscopy enables also treatment options not known till now. Not only more detailed and successful diagnosis and treatment but safety of these procedures and excellent tolerance are important. In this article a list of complications of digestive endoscopy, their diagnosis and treatment are mentioned. In a general part of that article legal aspects are discussed. The terms as vitium artis, lege artis, revers, legal responsibility and penal responsibility are explained.
