Summary: Based on an analysis of statistical data on the development of terminated cases of work incapacity
on account of „backache“ in 1960–90, there is evidence of an increase of the number of cases of
associated diagnoses. However, the problem of the relationship of work incapacity and „backache“
has not been resolved.
