In the submitted review the authors describe briefly the etiopathogenetic classification of mushroom poisoning which is at the same time a comprehensive differential diagnostic algorithm of mycointoxications. Rapid and accurate diagnosis which is the basic prerequisite of effective rational prevention and treatment is possible only when we know all varieties and types of mushroom poisoning and if we take them into consideration.
