Visceral Panniculitis in Occult Pancreatic Carcinoma (Case-record from a Clinical and Pathological Archive)

Summary:

       The authors describe a 75-year-old man with acute abdominal disease leading to lethal prerenal failure. Necropsy revealed massive visceral panniculitis with a small adenocarcinoma of the head of the pancreas. The authors assume that a very rare, early paraneoplastic syndrome was involved.
