Summary:
Early glottic carcinoma has one of the best prognoses in context of all diagnoses in
oncology. The retrospective study of 73 patients affected with early glottic carcinoma T1 and T2
treated during the period of June 1988 to March 2003 at the Clinic of Otolaryngology, Head And
Neck Surgery, St. Anna University Hospital was performed. The five year overall survival was
achieved in 79.2%, the five year disease specific survival was 92.%, the five year disease free survival
was achieved in 92.6% of cases. The larynx preservation rate in period of five years after the
diagnosis was 81%.
