The consensus committee,members of European Organization for Research and Treatment of Can- cer/Invasive Fungal Cooperative group (EORTC/IFICG)and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases/Mycoses Study Group (NIAID MSG)USA defined basic criteria of „proved “, „probable “and „possible “invasive fungal infection in immunocompromised hosts.The article gives information on this topic and stresses that these definitions are not intended for clinical decision making but for clinical research
