This submission is based on my research into social representation of care in psychiatry by people
with experience with hospitalization and social representation of people „mentally ill“ by students
of psychology, medicine and nurse in psychiatry. Chosen method was focus group – discussion in
small group on given thema.

about other people. Picture of „mentally ill man“ in this departmental groups consists of so-called
„expert view“ with their departmentally specifics, stereotyping with language exclusivity and view

important for their „well being“ are good relationships with nurse-staff, with other patients, attentivness
of psychologists and doctors, hearty and encouraged communication and whole atmosphere
of clinic. Also social representation of helpfull professions rise up.
