Summary:
The knowledge of the occurrence of resistant bacterial strains in newborn Intensive Care Units and existing remedies for preventing this disaster resulted in author's attempt to summarize rules and procedures which would prevent this catastrophe based on available literature data. They consist in the form of a surveillance of infection diseases and resistant strains, maintaining hygienic-epidemiological regimen and, especially, consistent rational ATB therapy.
