Type A aortic dissection, case

Summary: The case reports concern two patients with acute type A aortic dissection extended to the iliac arteries. Patients
were admitted to CCU in the regional hospital. Immediately after fixing the diagnosis they have been
referred to a cardiosurgical clinic where they have underwent successful surgical intervention. Modern diagnostic
methods are presented together with the use of invasive diagnostic approaches in a county hospital.
The principal pathologic features concerning type A aortic dissection, the clinical condition and possible
complications are discussed.
