Summary:
The paper deals with a historical development, current state of the art and
own results of the auditory brainstem implantation. The principles, indications,
auditory brainstem implant surgery in brief, programming and
benefits are described. The current situation and results of auditory brainstem
implantees in the Czech Republic are given.
