Summary:
Summary: The authors present the results of 7-years clinical evaluation of enosseal dental
implants VNI (produced in the Czech Republic) at the Dental Clinic in Brno (former 2nd Dental
Clinic). Clinical success rate of total 340 VNI dental implants applied in 163 patient aged from
16 to 75 years was evaluated in the period of 1–7 years after implant insertion. Apart of whole
set of patients, age-, sex-, upper jaw-, and lower jaw-related subsets were evaluated using
radiovisiographically. In addition, the success rate in patients exhibiting prosthetic indication
of dental implants used as abutments was evaluated. Mean clinical success rate of dental
implants was about 90 %. Radiovisiographic analyses, however, showed that optimum osseo-
integration of dental implants was 20–30 % lower in spite of full functioning of the implants.
Clinical evaluation proved that VNI dental implants were comparable to other cylindric dental
implants produced in the Czech Republic or abroad.
