We are presenting a case of a woman with severe combined mitral valve disease and ovarian carcinoma in the terminal stage. By evidence, this case proves some unusual ultrasonographic findings. Tumorous masses in the pleural fluid are of diagnostic value, and prognosis is limited by the finding of multiple thrombi in the wide dilated left atrium despite previous effective anticoagulant treatment.
