Summary:

       The authors analyze the epidemiology and trend of thermal injuries in Slovakia since 1990. The article includes statistics from both of the burn injury workplaces in Bratislava and Košice. The article contains conclusions and proposals for preventive measures which have contributed to the decrease of thermal injuries in Slovakia since 2000.
