Summary:
Integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI), developed by the World Health Organization and UNICEF, is a strategy currently implemented in more than 100 countries with high or medium infant mortality. The aim of this paper is to present an overview of the set of IMCI management guidelines that are the key element of the strategy to our health workers. This information should serve as an orientation and communication platform especially to those interested in working in countries that implement IMCI.
