In relation to the preparation of a new factual and legal arrangement of the systém of accident insurance in the Czech Republic, the German systém of accident insurance has been studied with the aim to learn about the organisation of the assessment of health status in accident insurance and the relation to the allowance systém, to clarify competence of physicians in the systém of accident insurance and the process of med i ca I assessment of occupational accidents and diseases, the systém and the course of medical examinations, review medicíně points of view, requirements of the review, assessment of its quality, relationship of the systém of accident insurance to other sociál systems and to learn about other facts related to the assessment of health status in accident insurance. The goal of the contribution is to provide basic information about this systém to physicians reviewers, especially in relation to medical review activities.
