Summary: Invasive diagnostic procedures cause considerable increase of local arterial complications. Common femoral
artery represents the most frequently used access artery. Our short report describes indications for treatment
and treatment modalities of postcathetrisation false aneurysms with review of the literature. We present a case
report of the patient with iliofemoral venous thrombosis related to external compression due to postcathetrisation
false arterial aneurysm.
