Old age is associated with a lot of problems into the treatment of patients with burns. The treatment always demands an interdisciplinary approach. The authors reflect on complications in rehabilitation therapy, early rehabilitation is empha- sized. The stabilisation of psychosocial stress is necessary as well as an active attitude of members of the family.
