Molecular Theory of Tooth Eruption
Krejčí P.

I. stomatologická klinika LF UP a FN Olomouc, přednosta doc. MUDr. J. Stejskalová, CSc.

Summary:

Tooth eruption is a process encompassing axial movement of the tooth from the position of its development inside the jaw into its functional position in the occlusion place, where cells of the tooth organ participate with the adjacent alveolar bone. Selective remodeling of alveolar bone controlled by the tooth follicle, surrounding the un-erupted tooth plays a decisive role. Chronologic expression of a series of genes in dental follicle is necessary for the tooth eruption. Regulation activities of the enamel organ of tooth after the formation of the tooth crown ins formed represent the necessary important signal for starting the process.
